Slow Beam is an architecturally designed house, created specifically for a unique Hobart getaway. Every window view has been considered by the designer, Hearth Studio. Not
just the expansive river and city views, but also to provide glimpses throughout the house to the natural sandstone and bush surroundings.
The black kitchen is kept low and streamlined, which was made possible by the specification of Fisher & Paykel appliances; undercounter fridge and freezer drawers are integrated seamlessly under the worktop. The kitchen’s design was all about combining aesthetics with functionality, combining details like the Henry Wilson brass handles and stained timber surfaces across the cabinetry, with an integrated Dish Drawer. The ‘Rugged Concrete’ Caesarstone benchtops were chosen for the industrial aesthetic of concrete, but with the
practical advantages of being heat, stain and scratch resistant.
